The Jebel Akhdar, (Arabic: الجبل الأخضر meaning The Green Mountain), is part of the Al Hajar Mountains range in Oman. It is the highest point in Oman and the whole of eastern Arabia going as high as 2980 mts above sea level and located 150 ams away from Muscat. The highest point of the submit is Jabal Shams (the mountain of the sun).
